A Video & Music Producer
I’m a big fan of simplicity and elegance when it comes to live acoustic recordings. This approach allows for the raw talent and emotion of the performer to be captured and transmitted through the video. For the live audio recording I use a high quality stereo recorder and when you listen back, it’s almost like you are there.
Sometimes, artists don’t have the time or the budget to produce a full-blown music video. That’s when high quality animated lyric videos are a great alternative & solution to increase engagement from fans & listeners.
Here’s a music video I produced with 4 other assistants at YouTube Space Toronto a few years back. Working with top gear and a team was a great experience. Afterwards, I completed the editing, special FX and color grading all in FCPX.
“Hi, my name is Nabil and I’ve had a passion for music and the media since I was a little child. In 2007, I graduated with a diploma in Audio Engineering & Music Production from the most prestigious Entertainment Art Schools in Canada, Metalworks Institute. Soon after, I got into producing music videos for my artists as well, because at that time, video production was becoming much more affordable with DSLR’s and although YouTube was still in its infancy, the video platform allowed for greater exposure for artists who could produce music videos to their songs. Long story short, the more I produced music videos for my artists, the more I grew to love it and it’s something that I continue to enjoy doing till this day. To me, video brings music to life, almost like how beautiful tiles bring a wall to life.”

Enfim, quanto mais produzi vídeos para os meus artistas, mais me apaixonei com esta arte e é uma coisa que continuo a apreciar até este dia. Para mim, o aspecto visual dá vida às canções tal e qual como os azulejos dão vida às paredes.”
